How SnuffRing Works

SnuffRing is a bowl snuffer with a removable screen and attached lid, being developed for compatible existing water pipe bowls. The screen supports loose material and helps retain ash, while the lid is designed to restrict air and help limit continued burning between uses.

The current concept uses a stationary outer ring supported by a lateral handle, a separate inner ring carrying a frustoconical wire screen, and an attached lid that rotates between open and closed positions. The production design, dimensions, materials, and compatibility requirements remain under development.

1. Seat the accessory

Place SnuffRing on the upper rim of a compatible existing bowl. The handle supported outer ring remains seated while the inner screen assembly is accessible within it.

2. Load the screen

Place a suitable amount of lawful smokable material into the frustoconical wire screen. The screen is intended to retain loose material while allowing airflow through the bowl.

3. Use and reposition

With the lid rotated fully clear of the ring opening, the screen remains accessible for ordinary lawful use. The developing assembly is intended to permit the supported material to be repositioned without removing the complete accessory.

4. Cover between uses

Rotate the attached lid over the outer ring. The closed lid is designed to restrict ambient oxygen and help slow, retard, or extinguish continued combustion. Results depend on fit, material, packing, airflow, and surrounding conditions.

5. Empty, cool, and clean

After use, allow every component to cool. Informal prototype users have found that inverting the accessory and lightly tapping the screen after each use helps remove ash before residue accumulates. Final cleaning and care instructions will be based on the production materials and assembly.

Designed to work with the bowl you already have

SnuffRing is being developed as a removable accessory. It is not intended to replace the bowl, connect to the downstem, or require permanent modification of the water pipe. No universal fit should be assumed. A dimensional compatibility guide will be published before orders open.

Closing the lid does not guarantee that material is fully extinguished or that any component is cool. Treat all components as hot until fully cooled, never leave burning material unattended, and follow all applicable laws and product instructions.
